Production Line Leader
The Line Leader will work with the Production Supervisor so that that the shift operates to documented procedures and work instructions, to ensure consistently safe and legal product with the desired quality characteristics, in full compliance with the HACCP food safety plan. The Line Leader is expected to run their line to an acceptable standard whilst adhering to our H&S policies and achieve factory KPIs.
Setting a high safety and GMP standard for the production line.
Dealing with machinery, product or packaging issues that occur on the line.
Knowing when to escalate problems to the Production Supervisor or Technical team
Driving line team performance to meet production targets.
Responsible for adhering to safe systems of work processes and acting in a safe manner to protect the health and safety of yourself and others at all times.
To promote a culture of positive safety behaviours within your team, demonstrate strong safety leadership and address unsafe behaviours and working practices to coach the right behaviours.
Follow all Quality systems and procedures to ensure our products meet food safety (HACCP), legal and customer requirements as well as maintaining external standards eg BRC, IFS, Femas.
Highlight to supervisor your teams training requirements.
Participate in buddy training when required.
Adhere to health and safety and food hygiene policies.
Work towards zero non- conformances.
Work with a positive attitude to problem solving and team work, supporting colleagues across the site functions.
Complete line paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Set a high standard of good manufacturing practice (e.g. clean as you go).
Ensure the team are working safely and raise near misses where necessary.
