Hygiene Operative

The core focus of the role is to be responsible for the successful completion of hygiene duties whilst maintaining the high standards of food quality and health and safety. The scope of the role is to support the Market Garden Road site by ensuring cleaning tasks are carried out effectively

Key accountabilities

  • Responsible for adhering to safe systems of work processes and acting in a safe manner to protect the health and safety of yourself and others at all times.
  • To communicate and share relevant information with other team/shift members to ensure the highest level of cleaning is maintained.
  • Follow all Quality systems and procedures to ensure our products meet food safety (HACCP), legal and customer requirements as well as maintaining external standards eg BRC.
  • To communicate and share relevant information with other team/shift members to ensure the highest level of cleaning is maintained.
  • To maintain accurate records of unscheduled tasks and communicate any issues or concerns to Production Shift Leader.
  • To be flexible and assist with other hygiene duties as required.
  • To respond immediately and proactively to any incidents that requires support of the Hygiene team.

Experience and Skills

Experience and Skills

Hygiene and waste knowledge

Production knowledge including policies and procedures

Previous experience of working in within a food production environment

Team working skills and examples of good relationships with peers and managers
