What’s it all about?

As Category Buyer you will work to deliver excellence across the raw materials category. Conducting tenders, managing pricing, ensuring high quality and supply as well as leading and supporting projects to deliver efficiency and innovation.

Utilising systems to your advantage, this role requires you to work to established processes. You will develop an understanding of best practice principles, looking to apply this across your category where possible, helping us work effectively with one-another and the wider business.

What do we need from you?
-A genuine passion for numbers, able to delve deep into the data to tenaciously solve problems
-A natural go getter and self starter, able to energise those around you with the enthusiasm and desire to deliver value in cross-functional teams
-Ready to build relationships with key stakeholders
Prior procurement experience isn't essential, and we are happy to discuss your transferable skills, but a will to get stuck in most certainly is essential!

Experience and Skills

• Procurement experience of 1-2 years preferable.
• Data Analysis & Numerical skills.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Achieved significant cost savings using traditional and creative procurement approaches whilst maintaining service and quality
• Leading cross functional teams to deliver best procurement result
• Ability to apply good practice purchasing to a wide range of types of expenditure
• Negotiating and defining contract terms
• E-Procurement methodology
• Project management experience preferable
